Hill Ridge Farms

 We had a family day at Hill Ridge Farms for one of Griffin's friends birthday party. It was a beautiful day to be outside!

 You hung out with Mommy most of the time while the boys played.... and as long as you were being held you were fine :)

 Once it was Daddy's turn to carry you, he bounced your right to sleep. Look at the double chin... now you can understand why my nickname for you has recently become chunky :)

 Just in case you dont believe my statements that you like to cry and make yourself known when you arent being held..... perfectly happy and smiling to

screaming your head off!

Oh of course we still love you despite the constant cry... but what I wouldnt give if you would just take a pacifier!!! haha

Time to cry it out

These last few weeks you have been rather spoiled by being held ALL the time. Now that we are back home Mommy is getting the brunt of this and so every time I put you down you cry. You have been fed, changed, had your nap but nonthless still cry! So.... we have enforced the cry it out rule. You did so twice today and as you can see from the picture it worked... AND only took 5 minutes :)

Thankful

Today I am thankful for the sweet touch of your hand wrapped around my finger. It was just an ordinary day for us at the house settling back in after our trip. Even in the midst of the day to day things though, God reminds me how special this time is... when I can have your little hand wrapped around my finger.

Back home!

We were sad to come home today... Lots of laundry and cleaning the house.... and for you the norm- sleeping, eating and crying!!

Celebrating Griffin turning 2

You boys watched Griffin's new movie, Toy Story 3, after breakfast to start off Griffin's actual birthday.

Then we headed back to the beach for some more fun in the sun... or in your case, snoozing in the shade.

After dinner we took a stroll around Broadway at the beach and you did surprisingly well in the stroller again... just kicked back and enjoying the ride :)

Beach bum

Here you are all dressed and ready for the beach! Crazy to see you in the same outfit at the same age that Griffin wore it on his first beach trip!

You did pretty well on the beach. The wind caught your breath and you thought it was way too bright outside BUT once we got you to sleep in the shade you were OUT!

We gave you your first feel of the ocean and as you can see by the look on your face you didnt like it ha!

Snoozing was FAR better!

We went down and took some pictures on the beach after dinner. We had to use a tripod to try and get all 4 of us so this is the best we could do.

But Mommy was able to snap some pretty cute ones of you two boys!

My favorite one to date! Love that grin you have :)

Your first Easter!

You were very lucky on your first Easter to get to celebrate by going to the beach!

We were thrilled to have our first family vacation together AND your first trip to the beach too!

You learned to show off how you can stand up...

and had your first stroll with Griffin in the double jogger... ON THE BEACH!

Big bro's 2nd bday

Today we celebrated Griffin's 2nd birthday with a party at the church

You slept most of the time as a good little brother should

We were able to get our 4 generations picture with Cici and Mimi

And they oooed and ahhhed over you just like grandmas should :)

Cant wait to one day celebrate your bday too little brother. I know it will be here far too soon!!

First babysitters!

Mommy and Daddy were THRILLED to have their first date night since you were born and your very special FIRST babysitters were none other than Cici and Mimi!!

They held you and spoiled you the whole time so you didnt even realize we were gone!
