Growing up too fast

After church today we went to a birthday party. They had a son who is a year older than you and he had all kinds of toys you loved. You found this tricycle and thought you were so big sitting on it. You already seem too big and are growing up way too fast!

Home again!

We made the trip back home today and were sad to leave TN. As soon as we got home it was bath time and you evidently were tired of sitting!!!

Wilderness Resort

 We had more fun at the waterpark this morning splashing around with everyone.

 Diddy hung out with you while me and Daddy went and rode the big rides and took Griffin on a few other things. You were perfectly content just hanging out in the water. It was like being in a bath the whole day which is great!

 That afternoon we had our annual putt putt tournament with the whole family.

You were a great cheerleader and encouragement for Mommy. She won :)

Your first Thanksgiving!

 Happy Thanksgiving Carter! It is your first one and we love to be able to celebrate how thankful we are for you! We started our family rounds going to Uncle Scott's house to see all of Cici's family.

 Caylor loved you and wanted to get down on your level and play. It was fun to watch you two grunt at each other ha!

 All of the visiting wore you out!

 Then we headed to Pigeon Forge to meet up with Diddy and Susu at the Wilderness Lodge. They decided to switch things up from the typical Thanksgiving this year and it was a lot of fun!

 Mamaw and Frank were there to love on you.

Stephanie, Jessica and Brad couldnt believe how big you were.

AND you got to meet Delaney for the first time. It was an interesting time with yall being so small. You tried to steal each others pacifiers and then just cried back and forth at each other.

Family time!

 Before heading out and about for our day we grabbed a quick picture with Diddy this morning. He is a big help in the mornings with you boys and loves every minute of it :)

 We went and spent time with Mimi and Potts and you 3 had a snack of cheese and crackers. He couldnt get over how much you can eat!

 Then we went to have Thanksgiving lunch with Granny

 And all the Isham's went bowling, as well as Uncle Phil's girlfriend Kelly.. who couldnt get enough of you!

Your cousin Olivia wanted to give you kisses and make you laugh. It was too sweet!

Visiting Aunt Katie and Ike

We drove to meet Aunt Katie and Ike today for lunch in Athens at the Cracker Barrel. Anytime we are close enough to see them, Mommy always likes to make it happen! It was an extremely windy day if you cant tell from the picture.

Hanging out with Diddy and Susu

 We had a LONG late drive last night so we hung around most of the day in our pjs visiting with Diddy and Susu. They were so excited to see you. And yes Susu was there too... she just always is cooking and escapes the pictures :)

 You ended up finding Jessie's bone and wanted to chew on it... And did.

You also showed them your favorite thing- JUMPING!

Playing with the big boys

When I went to pick you up from nursery today after church I saw you playing with the big boys! Your brother and his best buddy Phillip (he has his head stuck in the exersaucer) were being silly and you were right there laughing with them. Your brother is usually good about including you but this was the first time I saw you really with the bigger boys... SO SWEET!

We hoped in the car after evening service and drove to TN for Thanksgiving :)

First Football game!

You got to go to your first football game today! Duke got beat by GA Tech 31-38 but it was a beautiful day and we had a great time as a family!

Even though you didnt really know what was going on, you sure looked cute sporting your football hat :)

Working out!

Putting you in your jump up for 20 minutes a day has become a for real workout for you... I can tell you are losing all that baby chub :)

You have one good big brother!

Today I caught you and your big brother in two precious moments. First he said he wanted to read you a book. This was precious to see and even more so because I didnt prompt him. You two have really become even closer lately and he is always looking out for you.

The 2nd one made me giggle watching you two. You were hanging out in your jumper and for some reason thought he did something funny. Well he loves to make you laugh so he kept doing it and before you know it you were BOTH dying laughing!

Carter you are one lucky little boy to have such a great big brother who loves you SO much :)

Playnation

 We took a trip to playnation today with our friends, the Popes. It was an awesome indoor play area and you had fun just watching all the kids run around.

 After a quick powernap you were ready to join your bro in on the action.

Then even ventured to walking on your own. And yes, I am so sorry but you had just peed through your diaper and I didnt notice until after this picture. You do this ALL the time by the way. I am starting to wander if you just pee that strong that it always shoots out the side?!? Who knows :)

 This is my view of you these days... no matter where I am you are there climbing up my leg and greeting me with a smile (well most of the time). You want to be in the middle of whatever I have going on and use my pants to pull yourself up to do it.

This is Daddy's view of Carter... being a silly boy. You LOVE when he messes with you and yall play rough after dinner. You just giggle and roll around loving every minute :)
