Kids Fest

 We headed to the mall for today to enjoy their Kids Fest...

 It was mostly for big kids so you enjoyed watching your brother play.

Teething Mania

 You are continuing your teething mania and therefore I have to come up with creative ways to keep your mind off of it (on top of the teething tablets and orajel). You like this barnyard jamboree toy.. it will keep you busy for all of 10 minutes :)

Then your brother had a good suggestion... yall watched Bob the Builder! It is his favorite and I thought it was too sweet he wanted you to watch it with him. And you did!

Freeman/Brantley/Isham hangout

We had our first night hanging out at the Freeman's pool tonight. There will be many more memories made with the Freeman/Brantley/Isham families!

Big brother takes care of little brother

 Griffin wanted to read the Bible to you today. You are in the reaching stage now so he kind of had to fight you off a bit ha.

He also wanted to feed you and did a good job, minus the one time he stuck the spoon in too far and choked you :)

Sunday Funday

We had a luncheon after church with everyone and you got ALL the ladies' attention!

You also had your first experience in a bean bag at The Freemans....

You and your brother LOVED them and enjoyed watching Cars. You thought you were a big boy getting to sit up and watch it too!

 After your bath tonight I realized that your hair on top was long enough for a new style....

You had your first fruit today... BANANAS! And from the look on your face you definitely approved :)

Daddy is home!

 You have become aware of when Daddy gets home. You stare him down until he comes over and says hello.

 Then he gives you a bunch of kisses....

and you squeal with delight!

Pool time with the girls

Daddy had a deacon meeting tonight so we met Stacey and Caroline at the pool!

Sharing

You are very good about sharing your toys with your brother.. at least for now ha. However, he on the other hand is a different story. It is really funny to me that any time I get out a new toy for you he feels the need to play with it too, even though its for a baby. "Carter share with me, please." At least he asks nicely :)

Looooong day

Church, picnic with church family, more church and then a surprise dinner with Aunt Rachel... made for a VERY long day! 7:30am-10:00pm out of the house= sleeping through the night for you!

BIG boy carseat

Your Daddy installed your big boy carseat for you today. We have been wanting to move you over to one ever since we made the trip to TN and you screamed for 4 hours straight. You like this one a LOT more because it allows you to sit up. And Griffin loves it too because he can see you better. You were babbling away and I looked back at him and he said, "Carter is talking to me, Mommy!"

Rolling over!

 Play time in the crib has become my favorite part of the day for you boys. You are all smiles watching your brother's every move... and he is very sweet to you. Who wouldnt love these adorable smiles????

 I would say that sleeping on your tummy has been a good move for you... you always wake up happy now!

 AND.... YOU ROLLED OVER!!

 Griffin likes to teach you the Bible verse above your bed... and do the hand motions too. This is "and be wise."

You are doing better at holding your bottle... only needing help occasionally or if Mommy just feels the need to hold you :)

Big boy bath

 Mommy went to a consignment sale today and came home with a bath chair so you got to have your first big boy bath! Griffin was more than thrilled that you got to join him in the tub.

 You loved being able to sit up too!

 Your big brother took care of you by sharing the toys.. so you had a good time chewing on them all.

You were so relaxed after the bath and your bottle that you had milk oozing from you mouth haha!

Meeting Aunt Amy and Jack

 Today you FINALLY got to meet your Aunt Amy and she loved you of course!

Jack also liked "the baby" a lot and wanted to hold you. He hopes to be a big brother one day too :)

YOU SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!

Oh HAPPY day... You slept through the night and your big brother made it ALL night without an accident!!!

2 naps a day!

 Today brought about some changes for you and your big brother. I decided it was time to move you to 2 naps a day, and more importantly started letting you sleep on your tummy! It worked beautifully, allowing you to take 2 longers naps instead of a bunch of shorter ones.

After your morning nap your brother wanted to come in the crib and say hello! He also had a big day... POTTY TRAINING!

 I never knew if I would be a mom who wanted her boys to match but today when yall did really by chance... I think I might turn into one!

Here I am pretty sure you are thinking, "Griffin, is this a hug or a headlock?!?" :)

Ladies Man

Momma's stinky boy

Daddy says that you always smile when Mommy has you... therefore you are a Momma's boy

5 months old!

You are FIVE months old today! You are getting into the really fun stage with lots of personality and very aware of whats going on around you! Here are some of your fun facts:

-weigh 18.2 lbs

-wear 6-9 month clothes

-size 3 diapers

-babble all the time

-fall asleep now without crying

-taking 2 longer naps a day

-eating cereal with veggies

-you watch every move Griffin makes

-drink pear juice

-love the exersaucer but hate tummy time

-chew on everything

-smile and laugh when talked to

-doing tons better in the carseat

-started taking a PACI!

-sleeping in your crib all night (before now you were starting in crib but ending up in swing)
